What’s on 13th April 2011!
The Museo delle Maioliche Medievali e Rinascimentali Orvietane (Medieval and Renaissance Orvietano Maiolica Museum) will be open to the public in Via Cava as of the 16th April 2011, displaying an amazing collection of ceramics dating back to the 1300 -1500s. The Museum director, Marco Marino, joined us in the studio to tell us more about this new attraction in Orvieto and their new website (which will shortly be in English too!)
We also had another guest, Alessandra Polverini, of the Compagnia dei Buongustai in via Postierla. This cooking school runs many amateur classes helping you to prepare a special dinner…and of course in the lead up to Easter there’ll be an authentic Italian Easter cooking lesson along with plenty of typical deserts.
Exhibitions, book presentations, conferences, slow food events, cittàslow in festival, slow drink, an artisan chocolate fair…plus many more events throughout Umbria this week!
We talked about them all during the show, which is repeated on Fridays at 17.45. If you didn’t manage to listen, you can stream it here:
Don’t forget, if you’d like your Umbria event included in our What’s on service, e-mail the details to the team making sure to include when and where the event takes place, admission details and how people can get in touch for more information.
