What’s on with Massimo Chioccia (Mappolo)!
Yesterday we had the honour of the company of a very well known artist in the town, Massimo Chioccia (also known as Mappolo), who’ll be inaugurating his latest exhibition at the Magazzino delle idee on Sunday at 18.00. Massimo works with his partner Olga Tsarkova and they are perhaps most famous for their vibrant and colourful jazz paintings. Their next collection of work however is entitled ‘Alluminio sottratto al riciclo’ (Aluminium taken from the recycling). You can go and have a look at their exhibition at the Magazzino delle Idee over the next two months or pop into their gallery Tsarkova Chioccia Bottega Sugana (Via Adolfa Cozza 1, Orvieto) and admire their work. Simone Stopponi made a surprise entrance and told us all about the range of musical events this month at the Magazzino delle Idee, which kicks off with some live folk rock music by Foja on Sunday at 18.00, marking the start of the aluminium art exhibition.
All this plus many theatre shows across Umbria, book presentations, new museum exhibitions, concerts and a wonderful tribute to Francesco De Gregori at the Vincaffe wine bar on Saturday night.
